Phantoms of Nostalgia

In this Bachlor Examination Show at Konstfack this installation was to interpret my thoughts and feeling
surrounding Media and Subjectivity.

Both the technology that the Media is dependent on which is seen in the satellite and its consumers who
likewise is indispensable to it symbolise a relationship of give and take,
parable to the idea of The Moon orbiting The Earth, both dependent of each other.

Inspired by the writings of Jacques Derrida and Mark Fisher on ‘Hauntology’ my practice unfolded these telling concepts
imaging visions of the modern Homo Consumericus.
From “Icon” identity to war machine spectacle, subjectivity as its original Homo Politicus intended
has been distorted into a continued hunt for belonging.
